i think so too and probably rightly so but still a curiosity to think of. I havent heard anyway anywhere suggest that a Carney by-election was a non starter

Not Liberal supporters. They instantly went from praising the carbon tax and calling out Poilievre for wanting to axe it, to praising Carney for getting rid of it.

People in Canada have such a morality complex, it boggles my mind. The carbon tax will be removed from gasoline for my car, but not for the delivery truck beside me? Wait until all the layoffs occur from the higher industrial carbon levies to offset the drop of the commercial tax.

Carney's beliefs and playbook are out there for the world to see, same with his track record and business dealings. They are extreme, he loves Carbon pricing and was in fact the person behind Carbon pricing in Canada to begin with. Media outlets around the world are covering and cautioning Canadian's about Carney, but alas our legacy media refuses to cover any of it. We also are unable to share news and media due to Liberal censorship. A vote for Carney is a vote for more of the same we've had for 9 years. I don't give a shit what that guy says, that's him in a nutshell. At least he has the right name for this Canadian carnival.

I share your sentiments about Carney but where have you seen evidence of censorship? The National Post and The Suns have been carrying Carney-negative stories. And although there are the usual pro-Liberal suspects in the Globe and Mail their editorials seem to be in "wait-out".

Never heard of them actually. I could barely tell you who any of the people/groups out there making videos are. Thanks though- I went searching a bit, and yeah, not hard to find the first few announcements of campaign offices popping up for various parties, including two LPC that were easy to find.

Safe to assume they’ve gotten at least a quiet nod from the party before committing to the commercial leases for a couple months.

The LPC is short of candidates and I can't see them dropping the writ until they are near flush.

The LPC rules allow for a no contest nomination. Candidates can just be appointed without having to go through the nomination process.

It's what I expect will happen just before the election is called.

EKOS is completely ruining their reputation as a polling company. I even heard a liberal commentator calling them out.

When I see these polls, I think back to how all the polls had Harris ahead of Trump. IIRC, the same thing happened with Clinton/Trump.

When you pay hundreds of thousands of dollars to pollsters, you get the results you pay for.

As has been stated here a number of times, the only poll that matters is the one on election day.

Most polling or the serious ones had them within the margin of error. And even many stating that 1 or 2 percent lead did not translate to electoral votes.

When you pay hundreds of thousands of dollars to pollsters, you get the results you pay for.

Agreed. But a 20 point advantage destroyed within 2 months is significant.
