interesting as I don't pay for access?Paywalled.
I will also argue that Eugenics played a part in the thinking of policy makers between 1895 to the mid 1920's as it was very much the fad with the political correct class at the time. It's association with the Nazi's dealt it the death blow it needed.Maybe "paywalled" is a benefit. I take a jaundiced view of anything in "The Epoch Times". Not that they are inherently dishonest (I don't know; I've never closely scrutinized their publications, since the one time I did go past the homepage, my email was inundated with affiliated spam - I learned my lesson), but I also don't take as gospel much of anything that is in the "opinion" section of any publication without verifying the credentials of the author or the sources from which any "facts" are reported. Luckily, Google did provide some alternate sites where the piece can be read. Some, like "True North" bend somewhat in the same direction as the linked publication, in fact most of the sites that repeated the piece have a right leaning bias including the original source (C2C Journal), but their media rating of "mostly factual" is primarily due to a lack of transparency in ownership.

I will agree that the piece is "interesting" at first read. However, I will probably have to more closely analyze the piece before I change my first glance impression that the author's conclusions may be somewhat overly simplified.

Tk’emlúps signs ‘Sacred Covenant’ with Kamloops and Vancouver Roman Catholic dioceses
Tk’emlúps te Secwépemc has signed a “Sacred Covenant” with the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Vancouver and the Diocese of Kamloops.
Kukpi7 Rosanne Casimir says the signing – which took place on Easter Sunday near the site of the former Kamloops Indian Residential School – is a significant step forward on the path of healing and reconciliation.
“You may be wondering what is a Sacred Covenant? It is a Roman Catholic version of a memorandum of understanding,” Casimir said.
“Why is it needed? Within the Sacred Covenant, the Catholic parties are committing to work with Tk’emlúps te Secwepemc to assist in answering questions related to the work during the course of our investigation.”
Casimir says the covenant – which has been in the works for a number of months – includes commitments for all parties to work together on things like memorializing children who were sent to residential schools as well as the sharing of historical records in the church’s possession to identify what happened to children who went missing.
“Our survivors journey is an individual journey, and this is one of the many steps forward. The signing of the covenant is a beautiful step forward,” Casimir said in a video shared by Tk’emlúps te Secwépemc Monday.
“The Archdiocese of Vancouver and the Diocese of Kamloops have made it clear that they are embarking on this new journey of truth, justice, and healing with us.”

Interesting, especially in view of the fact that Professor Frances Widdowson, a proponent of critical thinking, got fired from her teaching post at Mount Royal University for basically saying the same thing.
The most worrisome part of the cluster so far hasn't been the rush to conclusions/judgement/condemnation or the millions of dollars spent to not very much purpose; it's the calls for criminalization of doubt/dissent/denial. The press establishment in particular ought to come down on the heads of those totalitarian wannabes like a dinosaur killer.Anomalous, indeed....
That's one view, even if held by an actual band.

Seems the Federal government via Kimberly Murray, a federally appointed official tasked as the special interlocutor for missing children and unmarked burials is doubling down on the mass grave narrative.
History of residential school cemeteries is evidence of genocide, interlocutor says
"The histories of the cemeteries that were located at former Indian residential school sites are evidence of genocide and mass human rights violations"
No actual evidence of anything like genocide only some photos of graveyards, graves and burials which of course occurred just like they have since time immemorial across the world.
Someone is invested in this and I would not be surprised in the least that many many $$$ were involvedThat's one view, even if held by an actual band.
