Trudeau Popularity - or not. Nanos research

Planting/inventing stories like Harper coming back is CTV/MSN is to create dissention. Where did the rumor originate? In the newsroom?

Trudeau still has time as pointed out to drag Canada down further and make other countries shake their heads.
That story was from just after the last election.

Meanwhile we send coal to China and India who are building more and more coal burning electrical plants. But anything related to petroleum is a huge no no. Ask Germany/Japan. Talk about tunnel vision stupidity.

Ottawa admits 'net zero' electricity will raise rates; Guilbeault slammed for 'unrealistic' fossil fuels 'phase down'

New regulations wouldn’t apply to remote and northern communities immediately as they work on eliminating their 'dependencies' on fossil fuels, said Steven Guilbeault.

Environment Minister Steven Guilbeault’s newly announced plan to largely phase out the use of fossil fuels to generate power in Canada over the next 12 years is being criticized as costly and unrealistic, despite his claims that higher electricity costs would be offset by savings on oil and gas.

Danielle Smith replies:

My Statement on Proposed Clean Electricity Regulations:The draft federal 2035 net-zero power grid regulations are unconstitutional, irresponsible and do not align with Alberta’s emissions reduction and energy development plan that works towards a carbon-neutral power grid by 2050.

These regulations make desperately needed investments in new natural gas generation almost impossible. If implemented in Alberta, these regulations would endanger the reliability of Alberta’s power grid and cause massive increases in Albertans’ power bills.

Alberta’s government will protect Albertans from these unconstitutional federal net-zero regulations. They will not be implemented in our province – period.

One of the only positives at this point is that these are ‘draft’ regulations and Alberta is about to commence a working group with the federal government to discuss how to bring Ottawa’s efforts to decarbonize the economy in line with Alberta’s Emissions Reduction and Energy Development Plan.

If this alignment is not achieved, Alberta will chart its own path to ensuring we have additional reliable and affordable electricity brought onto our power grid that is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

This will be accomplished by ensuring an appropriate amount of high-efficiency natural gas base load is added to the grid while incentivizing carbon capture, utilization and storage (CCUS) abated natural gas generation, small modular reactors, hydrogen generation and a sustainable amount of wind, solar and other renewables to drive down electricity costs.

Albertans and our government care deeply about responsible environmental stewardship. We are confident Alberta’s plan will get us to a reliable and affordable carbon-neutral power grid by 2050.

This is the direction Alberta is going. We invite the federal government to support us, rather than hinder us, in doing so.

Speechless.

Another slant on the separation. I doubt it'll be the last. Trudeau is so untrustworthy that people refuse to take anything involving him at face value. So it's only natural that they'd think there's a side hustle happening.

@Fishbone Jones

You want to rethink that post? Pretty long on speculation.

Maybe one day we’ll find out that Paul Hellyer was right about aliens.

FJ’s post isn’t breaking any guidelines. There’s enough qualification to the author’s suppositional material that it remains a thought piece for consideration.

Do you consider their breakup isn’t related to his popularity?

Related to his celebrity or infamy depending on where one stands. How his breakup and what may come next might affect him in the polls or election is fair game, I haven’t said otherwise.

I’m really not into the speculation and theories about Trudeau’s love life though, but some are. To each their own obsessions I guess. I normally don’t care much for page six stuff.

I have a feeling if it was PP going through this you'd be all over it like white on rice.

But I'm just speculating....

I couldn’t care less about his actual personal life, per se. There have been enough past portents of what was to come that I can’t imagine how anyone could at all be surprised with the ongoing saga of Fils Trudeau. However, I do care about how his particular brand of ‘saying one thing and doing another’ bleeds directly into my and other Canadians’ lives. He is factually dishonest and unethical enough, and we’re talking substantive validation of such misconduct, that his actions…all of them, bear a critical eye.

If we aren't allowed to speculate on army.ca what do we have left ?
Touques and gloves?

Of course you have that feeling. I expect no less of you when it comes to me posting anything.

But no. And nice try.

I tend to stick what is verified and what is relevant to the political atmosphere.

I have barely commented on anything in regards to his (PP) personal love life and none of it is based on any speculation, innuendo and rumour. Same with Harper in regards to the rumours about his wife when that was going around.

I made a simple observation that some people seem obsessed with Trudeau and his wife. So far according to some here he might be gay, may have an NDA for some secret hush money that no one will state outside of parliamentary privilege, he cheated etc etc.

My observation based on that sort of speculation is not off.

Well, to be fair, I wasn’t directing that statement at you G2G. And by no means should anyone be not allowed to speculate to their heart’s content. But I stand by my statement that some seem obsessed with JT and his wife.

That he is viewed as a hypocrite is well deserved based on past and present behaviour. Of that there is no doubt.

Quite the obsession with Trudeau and his wife in this thread.

I would think females would be more excited about his availabilty than males.
< surprised emoji.

My concern is that he professes to be one thing, and is demonstrably another. If he weren’t the elected leader of our country I wouldn’t give him the time of day. I don’t follow influencers like the Kardashians or their type, where substance falls far behind image, and that this is a substantive part of JT’s modus operandi, but I do feel that makes him subject to critical consideration by us of his actions…all his actions.

What's to rethink? I'm not saying I believe it, nor am I pushing the narrative. I'm simply posting an article about what some people think may be going on. As I said, he's a hypocrite and can't be taken at face value. I can't be responsible for what other Canadians think. Why can't we put him under a 360 degree lens?

The guy is a verifiable liar. Why can't people speculate on his motives? Especially when that speculation is a result of the jaded attitude of most Canadians based on his lack of honesty and his two faced approach to most things. Not to mention all the ethics violations he and his government have been caught in.
