The difference is that Jan 6 radically changed things. The other examples were hypothetical, but that time, people actually got into the Capitol.See I'm thinking the opposite. Regardless of who wins there won't be a civilian war. No riots in the streets. No end of days.
During Obamas election there were fears of all the white supremacist losets rising up and being violent.
During Trumps election there was talk of the US turning into Nazi Germany if he got elected.
Trump Vs Biden - Trump losing meant a civil war. Biden winning meant Republicans would get rounded up and so on.
My guess is regardless of who wins, the US will look like the last 4 years. And last 4 years before that.
What would have happened if the guards actually let them into the House or Senate, when they were in session?
Jan 6th was that “holy crap, this isn’t hypothetical anymore” moment for me.
