Trump administration 2024-2028

People are finally seized with the issue of non-secured means used for secret and confidential information. Perhaps there will be consequences and changes. If "they" can't bestir themselves to do so when Trump's administration is the target, there was and will be never any hope of correction.

You mean like HRC's use of non government servers?

Trump administration taking a play out of the Trudeau playbook and declaring state secrets on things which would embarrass/incriminate them.

Trudeau and Trump are the same person just at opposite ends of the political spectrum.

They're both silver spoon rich kids, narcissist's, they hate their country; and they're corrupt to the core.

I'm really surprised they didn't get along better.

Serial killers don't like other serial killers either - I guess we can take comfort in that....

Besides they're narcissists.

Anyone's use of unsecured means, or use of fictitious aliases for communications (eg. email). There is a risk of breach or of material being passed along where it shouldn't be. And whether or not material is classified is not the point. Communications give insight into mental and emotional states and thought processes. Keep it secret; keep it safe, as the wizard says.

That's what happens when, as a group, you thought yourself above signing the agreements that would have let you get briefed in by your unelected officials before the change of presidency, and then got caught in a maelstrom of daily Presidential executive orders while having DOGE on your backs so that you still don't have (or want to take) the time to be properly briefed in for the job you accepted to do.

This being spring and all, and keeping in mind that one swallow does not a summer make

Senior officials from China, South Korea and Japan will soon meet in Tokyo to try to establish a more formal relationship, replete with security and economic benefits. Informal talks had already been held between China and Japan, so it appears the two found enough to agree on in principle to proceed to the next level. In practice, it’s unclear what a partnership entails. Japan has said it wants to increase agriculture exports to China and to force North Korea to abandon its nuclear program. Naturally, the latter point brought South Korea into the talks.

Beijing is in a dangerous geopolitical position. The emerging U.S.-Russia entente leaves China in an isolated position at a time when its economy has weakened dramatically. Contrary to appearances, Russia and China have never been truly aligned. Russia has been a threat to China throughout history, and several wars have been fought between them. Not even the commonality of communism could unite them. Under Mao, China was outright hostile to Russia, which it accused of betraying communism during the Khrushchev era.
