Nothing will happen.
Not true, she will receive praise behind closed doors from the sorts of people who ban uniforms at Remembrance Day events, and play pro-Hamas songs for Remembrance Day.

To have two high profile instances in a single year, and in different provinces, tells me that maybe there is a growing issue within the School Boards, and the teaching profession.

In the past few years I have noticed that some organizations are disrespecting Remembrance Day - and this year is no exception. Remembrance Day is set aside to reflect on the sacrifices the fallen made for this country. Over 118,000 shed blood for this country so we may enjoy the freedoms we have today.
A local Winnipeg TV station who state " as part of Remembrance Day" aired a segment about the purge of LGBT people from the Canadian military. The focus is not on the fallen but place squarely on the shoulders of a community that has a month in its honor. Our fallen have one - one day. This segment should have waited for a week.
A school in Halifax (the Eastern Home Port of the Royal Canadian Navy) has the temerity to ask military personnel not to wear their uniforms to school. What an insult to serving members and veterans across this land. Thankfully, that stupid idea was rescinded.
A school principal in Ottawa decided it was beneficial to play a song about peace in Gaza, thus upsetting some students. This same principal insulted our war dead by stating " some stuff was done by some white guys" or words to that effect. It seems he has apologized for his stupidity.
The DEI club is not Diverse - it only welcomes those who fall in line with their doctrine of division.
It is not Equal - as they play the race and victim cards when confronted.
It is not Inclusive - if you're Jewish or a military member or veteran you are not welcome.
In 1933 a country in Europe underwent a version of "group think" . There was a genocide of Jews and executions of homosexuals. There were mass incarcerations of those who did not agree with that horrible government. Our soldiers fought and shed their blood to free those who couldn't free themselves. Our soldiers fought and shed blood in Afghanistan to help free those who were under the boot heel of a regime that hung people in soccer stadiums. 158 of them - one of them our son - didn't return home.
November 11th is set aside as a day to reflect on the sacrifices our fallen made to ensure we can enjoy the freedoms of today. Its not about you - its about the fallen. For all of your tomorrows, the fallen gave their todays.

This would be a good time to reacquaint her with the principle that freedom of speech does not mean freedom from consequences.
A cast iron skillet maybe ala Tangled?

Bloody well right Sir.

I suspect you are correct.

One school in the Lower mainland invited the Historical vehicle club to come to the school. they had permission to bring onto school grounds two Universal Carriers armed with deactivated machine gun, Bren and Lee Enfield rifles. With reenactors in WWII uniform and also a couple of wheeled vehicles.

Although I consider myself to be basically slightly left of centre on most issues, I really believe that many on the left are intentionally out to destroy many of our most cherished institutions and to seriously damage this country and the fabric of its society with little regards to what will replace it. I am reminded of the chaos and social fragmentation during the French Revolution in the early 1790s. When seen in the context of what the ultra right is doing as well as events (e.g. Ukraine, China, Trump) occurring worldwide, IMHO Canada has never been as vulnerable as it is today. These are particularly dangerous times that require cooler heads to prevail to help steer a steady but cautious course.

Yesterday I asked one of the civilians in my section which ceremony he had attended. He looked at me like I was crazy. None, of course.

Remembrance Day should not be a holiday.
There are always going to be people who don't go to ceremonies. We shouldn't make it harder for those who do wish to go.
