Question I wished I asked.

I did a basic search over the forum and found some nice questions to ask at the recruitment office.  I was wonder if anyone has any question that they wished they asked before go through the process, or being sent to off to basic? (you don't have to post the answer if you don't want to)

I first joined as a field engineer (now called combat engineer). I went to CFRC...asked what was opened ( i wanted to go air force). The good sgt at the desk said "infantry, armoured, artillery, engineers and naval weapons tech".....

Infantry: My dad was infantry and i wasn't gonna have any of that;
Armoured: Screw that, i didt want to drive anything that everybody shoots at;
Artillery: I pull string, gun go boom !................NO
NWT: I hate being on boats.........NO
Engineers: I have no idea what that is so......OK

No one said anything about guns, trenches and being in the bush clearing landmines..............I enjoyed my time in the engineers though
