This is probably a stupid question but does light infantry ever use the lav's or is it Strictly on foot and does light infantry use helicopters. Do you have a choice of being mechanized or light infantry?

At times Light Infantry have ridden in vehicles such as the LAV, TLAV and RG. Light Infantry can be transported into an area via helicopter, the jump company in a Light battalion can also parachute from planes and helicopters.
Mechanized Infantry are not always employing the LAVs, they can be dismounted and walk everywhere, they can also be inserted/extracted by helicopters, etc
