Infantry & Signals Ceremonial Sword

I just purchased some  Infantry & Signals Ceremonial Swords from Crown Assets disposal. I assume they came from some where in BC since I had the shipped from Surrey. I am trying to find out where the came from and the story.

Don't people have to buy their own swords?  I bought my 1912 Pattern Wilkinson Wannabe long after I had any need for it.  The one time I needed one, I borrowed it.
