Hello, I have sent in my application to the recruiting centre, my problem is have been homeschooled since grade 7. I have all necessary courses but my problem is the recruiting centre needs a transcript which I dont have and unfortunately, I am unable to take the GED testing until I am 19. My math is a bit low, though I am currently taking courses to upgrade. Is there anything I can do to substitute the transcript? Ive thought of applying for short online university or college courses but I was unsure as to whether they would accept that over a highschool transcript. Any and all help is appreciated.

TL;DR? Quoting DAA

You would need to have your "home schooling" assessed and transcribed by your "Provincial" education authority before the CF can process you.

Check with your local Province first.

What do you intend to apply for?

I am applying for AVN. I am also applying to BCIT to do my trades training and believe it or not, its easier for a homeschooler to get accepted by a university or college without a transcript than it is the CF.

Not only for homeschoolers, but for it is for highschool graduates as well. Your homeschooling rationale is irrelevant but it is important because you have to get it assessed.

In analogy, at the supermarket, buying apples and pineapples is more expensive than purchasing apples alone. In the CAF you get an education in respect to your trade and a promising career.
