The Crown gets good value from IR postings, IMO, especially when the benefits were significantly reduced in 2013. If the government invested to turn each base into a 15-minute city, there could be a case to further revise IR benefits, but that’s likely a stretch.

I was impressed by the peace and quiet of Japanese suburbs.

They also arrest indefinitely and force convictions out of innocent people. We would have to give up a lot of rights and freedoms to be like the Japanese.
