As with the RPAS project, if the Liberals really wanted to buy nothing, they could have directed the cancellation of the project years ago.
Yup, they’re just trying to push things away that would hurt their campaign, and also delay things deliberately to reinforce splitting issues, like delaying gun control cut-off date to push the issue back for campaigning purposes.

Just pushing everything out is the same as buying nothing. But it has the advantage of looking like they are doing something. Both these programs are like that.

I don’t disagree with you on that. Rumblings are that direction from ‘MURKA to buy P-8A is on its way North shortly, so we shall see.
 
IMP has been losing experienced people; Irving is hard to compete with apparently.
IMP’s business model, since forever, was to hire retired annuitants and consider their military pension as part of their total compensation package, then (under) pay accordingly.

That works only as long as there is no other game in town…
