Chin strap related question....

I just installed a replacement chin strap assembly on my issued helmet (replaced with an issued chin strap). The weird thing is that it now does up on the right-hand side of the face (no, its not on backwards  ....yes I'm sure). Every other helmet I can remeber seeing has done up on the left side of the face.

Has anyone seen this before?

There are chin straps for both left and right handed firers,the buckle should be on the opposite side you shoulder your weapon on.

I thought it might be somthing like that. Thanks for the help, I appreciate that. I now have the wrong one....
