Ender, I wasn‘t there and can‘t say what I would have or wouldn‘t have done. However, as I told Infanteer, on Remembrance Day I may have not been such a stickler for the rules and allowed the gentleman to enter the establishment especially if he was a known member of the units association or someone could vouch for him. Just because someone is a veteran does not mean he is no longer subject to rules that guide us all.
 
I wasn‘t responding to anyone really, I was just commenting on what I felt was a lame policy. Gunner, as a Senior NCO, was in a position to give a different perspective than "private-at-the-front-door," and it just helps fill out the whole picture.
