Trying to find records of my father who died when I was 3. He served in WW1,1917-1920.Thought he was in CEF,no records.Advised he was in RFC.Did receive info (limited) from England in 1980‘s,info destroyed when that person reaches 70 yrs. Did rec. from Nat. Archives his "Imperial War Svc Gratuity Forms" (Pension forms). His Reg#150026 and Ref. #RG9,Militia&Defence,Ser.11-F-10.
Can anyone help and advise where I may find more info, birthplace,parents names & Squadron# and if he was awarded medals. Would another Dept. in Ottawa have more info than the Gratuity Form they just sent.I thought he would have filled out an Enlistment form with more personal information on it. I would really appreciate any help pointing us in the right direction. Thank you.
