Hello everyone, this my first post here. I have applied to and have been successfully short listed for DEO entrance into the Infantry. I've been told that all slots have filled for this year, however, at the beginning of the next physcal year (April 1st?) I will be slotted as "I am high on the list". Can any one translate this for me?
PS
I'm 32 and I my former life I was a physiotherapist and a strength and conditioning Coach. Ive worked in 4 countries and have trained professional athletes. If anyone has anyquestions regarding physical training, nutrition, or rehab; I'd be happy to help you.

Most, if not all your questions have been asked and answered before, and we have a fairly good SEARCH function that will assist you in finding what you want if you use good 'key' words.  The instructions for the Search function can be found below along with some other topics that may assist you in your quest.  We also have a fair amount of topics on Physical Training, Training Programs and Sport Injuries, that you may find of interest.

They mean that your file looks competitive enough to get you a spot on the next officer course which should be around May 2007.

You could read through this entire thread, lots of info about this: http://forums.army.ca/forums/threads/44696.0.html

Did they (recruiting centre) mention anything about your file going through the selection committee this month?

Normally I avoid this type of thread/discussion/question, but perhaps there is a lesson to be learned.

At the point where the recruiter/instructor/CO/bomb-squad technician says, "are there any questions?"....there is no shame in asking.

These people (OK, minus the last one) inevitably ask for questions because they have a vested interest in making sure their instructions are understood so that they can be followed.

Please, next time......ask.  Not here.  Not your buddy.  Ask the person giving the information.
