Hey all,

Im 20 years old, 21 sooon, and I seem to be having lots of problems getting in...

I tried the first time and I seem to have failed the test some how  ::)......

So I wait a year to write it again, but this time I had some problems with the law...

I got probation... Now I'm of probation and they are telling me I cant write the test because I have to wait 3 years after my probation is done to try....

I am really mad...Is there any way of going in the army through school or something..

What about the american army, will they recruit me if I get my green card and everything else required..?

If anyone knows what im getting at in the above lines, please help me out, the army is like my life! I cant seem to be in it!!

Thanks

nutz00,

Welcome to Army.ca., you'll find a lot of useful information here to help you prepare for the recruiting process. To put it simply, there are no shortcuts - it is up to you to develop the personal discipline and skills needed to meet the requirements to be recruited. No one has an automatic right to be in the Army without making the grade, you have to earn it by meeting those checkpoints. Think of your recruiting like a military operation .... plan, prepare, execute.

To start with, see the Recruiting FAQ - http://forums.army.ca/forums/threads/21101.0.html

There are a number of sections you may find useful in preparing for the CFAT, etc.

You may also find this post in the Conduct guidelines helpful before you continue: FRIENDLY ADVICE TO NEW MEMBERS - http://forums.army.ca/forums/threads/24937/post-259412.html#msg259412

Hey,
Well with the probation I pretty sure you have to wait till it gets cleared. If you really want to join the CF then wait get fit and act responsible. As for the Green card Its pretty tough to get one. It would be even harder to get one if you are on probation.

As for going to Army through school. Well I don't think thats possible. To get into the CF you have to complete all of the recruitment process. They will either deem you suitable or not suitable.

Well take care.

Take a look at the recruiting section or do a search. You should find more info on your situation with the probation deal.
