So, I was released in basic due to an injury at no fault of my own (Medical fuck up on their part). Ever since I have been in immense pain and have been unable to do simple things like lift heavier objects or run. I have applied for DB but not sure what to expect for wait times, or even how DB really works. I literally just want them to fix their fuck up so I can move on with life.

Do you have a MyVAC account? If not sign up for it.  You can track applications in it and communicate with VAC and set up direct deposit. A lot of claims going to VAC seem to be  8-12 months for a decision depending on the complexity of your claim.
