"1212 GMT - UNITED STATES - The U.S. Navy has placed an order on Dec. 30
worth $8.5 billion with Boeing Co. for 210 F/A-18E/F Super Hornet attack
jets. Deliveries will be made between 2007 and 2011 at an average rate of 42
aircraft per year from Boeing‘s facility in St. Louis. The Navy also will
pay Boeing $979 million to develop and test a variant of the plane called
the EA-18G with upgraded jamming equipment and defensive missile systems."
