Nixon got a bad rap for the Watergate cover up, but he was not involved with the ‘Committee to Reelect the President’ and he fired John Dean when his (Dean’s) role was discovered, and recommended against immunity for him and acting FBI Director Gray (who was involved).

There is a huge underground economy in the US which relies on illegal immigrants to do the work. They basically replaced slavery with illegal labour.

I still think the most effective law to end illegal immigration in the US is anyone caught employing illegal immigrants gets 5 years in jail. Watch them leave because there is no work in the country.

The amount of Americans who rely on them for construction, landscaping, agriculture, etc. is insane. The cost of all sorts of services will go up substantially. Ironically the same people most likely to employ a illegal immigrant to do their lawn are also the ones most likely to have voted for Trump and will complain about the rising costs/being unable to find people to do the work.

The GOP faces the same challenges, yet somehow they managed to get to swing voters in all the key swing states.

Until the Dems can take an honest look at how they message, as well as what they are messaging, they will face an uphill fight.

I think a big part of the Dems problems stem from the fact they they have become closely aligned/associated with extreme progressive views, and those views suck all the oxygen out of the room when they are trying to get any other messages across. Kind of like how the LPC used guns and abortion to suck the wind out of the CPCs sails.

There is basically 4 parties (minimum) in the two major US parties. Trump actually has the advantage in that the Democrats aren’t really unified yet the Republicans are due to anyone who stood up to Trump being ostracized or kowtowing him now.

A unified message/party makes a huge difference vs the public infighting that plagues the Democrats.

Perhaps, but with a little snooping around, social media lives forever. Back in our day, our stupid stuff was gone with the wind unless we wrote a letter, and not many guys did that.

Back then, they made "dittos" of love notes on the school mimeograph machine and passed them around class. Preferably while still damp.

The first row got to smell the whole fresh pile before passing them down the row to their classmates. :)

Truman, Eisenhower, Kennedy, Johnson, Nixon, Ford, Carter, Reagan, Bush Sr.

Bush Jr. during the Vietnam draft had a bit of controversy,

im sure thats a failure right off the bat. What 25 yr old woman is going to take herself off the dating scene. Plus if thats the stick whats the carrot lol? I could see progressive women not dating Trump supporters but thats about it
