Trump administration 2024-2028

Charlie Angus has a petition gathering signatures for the revoking of Elon Musks Canadian Citizenship given his hostile stance towards our sovereignty. As of this morning at has 21k signatures.
Utter bullsh!t, unless all people with a hostile stance towards Canada are so treated.

"Oh, we have to keep this terrorist in our system - he has citizenship."

If I recall correctly Canadian citizenship cannot generally be revoked unless the person lied on the citizenship application form. I would suspect though that Parliament could have some recourse within its legal capabilities.

It would also not be the ministers decision, it has to go before a federal judge, and the gov would have to argue why it should be revoked.

The Party Chancellery is tightening its grip on the apparatus that can threaten it.
The premise is bullsh!t:

"Here’s what is going on. When you start firing the military’s top lawyers, that means you are getting ready to order the military to do unlawful things.

Change the context to DoJ. "Here’s what is going on. When you start firing the DoJ lawyers, that means you are getting ready to order the DoJ to do unlawful things."

DoJ lawyers are routinely "fired" (resign as a matter of course, or are asked to resign and fired if they refuse) by incoming administrations.

And the assumption is unlikely: "Trump replaces those JAGs with men who will justify any future unlawful and unethical actions that he wants the military to do." For the assumption to be credible would require that there is a pool of unlawful and unethical lawyers from which to select. But how could there be such a pool, unless it was tolerated (if not created) by those in charge during the prior period which the writer necessarily implicitly assumes to be "lawful and ethical"?

Which is absolutely stupid given so many entities have downsized their office space.

It will be chaos for months, and no doubt major profits for certain landowners as the USG scrambles to acquire more space.
You're assuming office space will be a problem after all the Terminations/Layoffs/Buyouts/Early Retirements.

I work for a Company that absolutely massacred its workforce around 15 years ago in the name of preservation and profit.

Company was allegedly around 6 weeks away from not making payroll back then. My building and a few others I work in are filled with the souls of dozens of departed workers whose positions have been automated and/or outsourced.

Much of the Corporate/Management ranks were gutted. This could very well be the same.
