Trudeau Popularity - or not (various polling, etc.)

Under 47.a, loss of an election will automatically trigger a Leadership Endorsement Ballot of all registered Liberals.
Absolutely true, noting (unsurprisingly, to me anyway) that membership endorsement (or lack therof) doesn’t bind the National Board to any explicit action regarding the Leader.

Are these Liberals going to hold their leadership election before the budget vote or is this just another waste of time?
Likely not. It’s entirely up to the National Board to decide when the leadership election takes place. Normally not less than 90 days from when the National President forms the Vote Committee, but the LPC constitution allows sufficient consideration to either expedite to take a period of sufficient duration to ensure that Canadians are most appropriately represented by a Liberal Party leader who represents the fabric of the wonderful country that is Canada….again, at the whim of the National President and whoever (tee hee) is appointed/asked to be the Interim Leader.

Well it is rich that he decides to take a position after he’s asked the Governor General to freeze Parliament for one fortieth of a Decade….

Edited to add: especially beware the influencers who manage to get their fingers in a variety of pies, so to speak ...

And then there's good ol' Mad Max...

Max Aitken, 1st Baron Beaverbrook

With Churchill's blessing, Beaverbrook overhauled all aspects of war-time aircraft production. He increased production targets by 15% across the board, took control of aircraft repairs and RAF storage units, replaced the management of plants that were underperforming, and released German Jewish engineers from internment to work in the factories. He seized materials and equipment destined for other departments and was perpetually at odds with the Air Ministry. "Even if Britain goes down this fall, it will not be Lord Beaverbrook's fault. If she holds out, it will be his triumph. This war is a war of machines. It will be won on the assembly line."
