I'm voting Liberal. Because I want to see how destructive Canadians really are ok with the LPC being.

Never going to happen (again) - any system that'll mean less than majority governments possible = non-starter.Trudea is going to ... promise, if elected, to introduce electoral reform

Opinion: Blame the four fatal ‘I’s of Justin Trudeau for the lacklustre state of the Liberals
Liberal support is a shadow of what it was nine years ago. Why? In brief: Incumbency, inflation, immigration and identitywww.theglobeandmail.com
While I don’t want the LPC to be destroyed as an entity I do want them to suffer a thrashing so serious that it will make them revisit what it is that the country really needs
I also plan to hold him to a very high standard. I turned away from the CPC in the past and I won't hesitate to do it again if I see integrity, accountability and transparency being violated.I may end up being every bit as critical of him and his government,
seriously, and then what? The libs as they have demonstrated are only in it for themselves. There is no integrity, accountability or transparency. So if Pierre flunks out we really have no choices leftI also plan to hold him to a very high standard. "Hi, America? Do you have any vacancy in the slums? It will be a step up from Trudeau's Canada..."seriously, and then what? The libs as they have demonstrated are only in it for themselves. There is no integrity, accountability or transparency. So if Pierre flunks out we really have no choices left
not if Harris wins"Hi, America? Do you have any vacancy in the slums? It will be a step up from Trudeau's Canada..."

And another one…from the Kathleen Wynne days with Telford, Butts, Astravas and others whom we know are part and parcel of Trudeau his is Ministers’ team of fixers to help them keep the “Oh, I didn’t know about that” excuses flowing and believable in their own bath water drinking mind.Bevan most recently served as an adviser to Trudeau and chief of staff to Deputy Prime Minister Chrystia Freeland, which involved helping develop this past spring's budget.

(Tiniest bit of) credit where due - when she realized she was the albatross around the party's neck, she left. Yeah, left it right to the VERY end, but still ... A bit of a lesson for other Red Albatrosses out there, should they choose to learn. So what is the Legacy of the Wynne crew in Ontario?
Lots of connected or armchair analysis about how 'but this (or he) is different'. The post mortem usually determined that 'no, it's/he's not.(Tiniest bit of) credit where due - when she realized she was the albatross around the party's neck, she left. I said the same thing when Harper was running to be elected. I said to a friend who was hardcore Liberal, they need to throw the Liberal policy book, their candidate's, power brokers into a barn and burn it down, so a new Liberal party could come out of the ashes. The Liberal Party is like a bear that's become too used to human handouts, except in the LPC case they're addicted to doing what they want while blatantly ignoring any sense of transparency or accountability. There's no comming back from that - the whole party needs reset.

Labour adviser Mark Carney ‘lobbied Reeves for heat pump subsidies’
HomeServe founder says ex-Bank of England boss ‘is working on our behalf in Government’
13 October 2024 6:30am BST
Former Bank of England governor Mark Carney lobbied ministers to relax rules on heat pump subsidies to benefit the asset management business he chairs, it has been claimed.
Mr Carney, a Labour adviser who has helped Rachel Reeves with the creation of the National Wealth Fund, raised the idea of changing the cash for heat pump installations scheme with the Chancellor, according to Richard Harpin.
Mr Harpin is the founder and former chief executive of HomeServe, now its chairman. The plumbing and heating company was bought by Brookfield Asset Management, which is chaired by Mr Carney, for £4.1bn in 2022.
Discussions with Ms Reeves are said to have revolved around changes to the Government’s £450m Boiler Upgrade Scheme so that companies could claim taxpayer subsidies to install heat pumps in homes. Such a change would benefit HomeServe, which specialises in home plumbing and heating cover for homes plus boiler installations.
Mr Harpin said: “Mark is working on our behalf in Government and he did have a meeting on this with Rachel Reeves. It was covering some other issues and the role of Brookfield as a trillion-dollar investor in the UK. And so it wasn’t just this issue, but he did mention it.
“We want to make sure that there’s some money allocated to this, that we’ve got a clear direction of travel when the Budget comes out on Oct 30.”
Mr Harpin said Mr Carney had used his access to seek a change in the law and had also co-signed an open letter to the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero setting out the proposal and its benefits for the UK’s attempts to reach net zero.
Mr Carney has also been pushing for similar changes in France, where Brookfield oversees a separate company involved in home energy upgrades. He recently used his contacts to secure a similar meeting with France’s President Emmanuel Macron, said Mr Harpin.
Carney’s advice to Liberals puts low-carbon future above all
Mark Carney made it clear he will be doubling down on the need for the government and Canadians to move heaven and earth to build a low-carbon economy.
