My wife, she does it all.

Does she fold up and fit in your belt kit or pocket?  If so I'm trading up.  8)

She has a ruck that has a seat and cold beers, I sit in it, she's kinda like a sherpa.

Ibuprofin. Excellent little anti-inflammatory.
I personally also like having duct tape.

1x Large bottle decent single malt
1x Cohiba Lancero
1 match

Hey screw it I'm too old to run and hide in the boonies. Go out with a bang I say 8)

.308 - 200 rounds
.243 - 160 rounds
.45 - 250 rounds

Then take from others with more food/item preparation packing ideas.

I'm going all out.

I found a neat underground shelter on Pinterest soldier of fortune magazine I might make for fun.

Started storing water and non-perishable food too.

Big question.  If you had to choose one pistol to bring with you would it be a 9mm or .45?

Neither... a shotgun, or a 22cal-410 over under would be a better way to go. More flexible and, if one has a stoppage, the other is still good to go.

Personell Servivor kit. Anything you need to survive.

But a real muscular man would just shrug off a .22 or 410.  ;D

Shotguns are hard to hide too! I figure even with Zombies running around eating faces- conservation officers would be running around checking for licenses and that you only have 3 rounds in your shotgun.

Throwing together a mini-survival kit for a member of an aircrew, does anyone have any recommendations?

Right now it consists of:
-Altoids tin
-button compass
-micro-light
-commando wiresaw
-snare wire
-3x arrow heads
-mini-bic lighter (can aircrews carry lighters?)
-storm matches with striker taped to outside of tin
-signalling mirror
-4 fishing hooks
-3 needles
-thread
-4 water purification tablets
-8 pieces of guntape
-pencil and 4 pieces or rite in the rain paper.
-4 cotton balls
-4 thick retainer bands
-monster high bandaid
-blister patch

Really hard to cram that stuff inside.

Going to add a hacksaw blade wraped in gun tape to the outter side
fishing line

Anything else that might be beneficial?

Most of those are already in our personnal/aircraft survival kit.  No, we cannot bring a lighter.
