Hello. I have been trying to put some buckles on the shoulders of my tac vest but I cant find the way to separate the 2 pieces of the female part of the buckle. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

On the surface piece of the buckle there's three posts underneath that slide into the place (which goes on the other side of the material), two near the 'front' and one at the rear. The two at the front get locked into place by a sort of tab. It's kinda hard to explain but you're gonna need a screwdriver or something skinny to pry the tabs out so the posts can slide out of place.

if you were issued a new vest, they you should have received two new - never been used buckels that are still seperated - front from back....

Ok thanks Ill try that. I was thinking of trying it but those tabs look kind of fragile.

They shouldn't be, you can bend them enough to fit the posts but I wouldn't pry more then that.

The fun part will be jamming the plates underneath the loops on your shoulders ;)

Took 10 minutes to install the buckles and roll everything nicely. Thanks again mate.

why would you roll straps on your field kit?  It makes adjustment 10 times harder, plus even the best french rolls come undone.

I dont like it when my straps arent rolled and hang everywhere. I was thinking, maybe we could start a "Post pictures of your tac vest" thread, as Im curious to see how others set theirs up

Sweet Jesus... dont even need to say it...

Personal addons to the standard issued tac vest: http://forums.army.ca/forums/threads/77507.15.html

Tacvest Mods: http://forums.army.ca/forums/threads/53333.0.html

Loading the Tac Vest: http://forums.army.ca/forums/threads/27036.0.html

Tac Vest Paranoia: http://forums.army.ca/forums/threads/16347.0.html

Please look at some of those, and familiarize yourself with the tiny little search button. There's a metric f**kload of tacvest info on this site.

It may be a good one to start (except it will definitely turn into a b**** thread)  ;D, I'll have to get a picture of mine when I get back to NB.

There is no specifichttp://lightfighter.net/eve/forums/a/tpc/f/9046084761/m/1711043433/p/1 show your tac vest (one kind of like THIS)

Lightfighter: show your fighting loadout

A "show your loadout" thread might be informative. Very different. I think it would be cool to see what different people across the CF can get away with deployed and domestically. ;)

Its basically a show your kit thread.

A show your tac vest thread may be helpful to others, if people tell what they have done, and how it works for them.  Also throwing in aftermarket rigs would also work.
