Well from a Can. that recently moved to the U.S. to work, it makes me damn proud to see Can. forces getting ready to hit the dirt. Down here in the states all you ever get is the American prespective, like no other country even exists (expect maybe Britain). There has been little mention in the U.S. press of past Can. contributions (naval / air / JTF) to date. I did notice today a couple of sentances in our local daily paper of the ground troop contribution / deployment plans.
I realize the extreme burden that this places on limited resources for our existing ground forces. Only Canadians that have some understanding of the demands, cutbacks and resourcing issues that have been placed on our Can. military resources can appreciate the sacrifice that we are about to make.
I trust our troops on the ground will do us proud!
