LPC leadership race - 2025

Behind a paywall, I can't read the article
Neither can I...but let me sum it up for you anyway...

Yet another Liberal MP is being accused of being corrupt & under the influence of a foreign government.

Shocking. I understand if you need to take a minute to pick your jaw up off the floor...

Keeping an outfit like Goldman Sachs on stable, profitable track, and then running two central banks, seems like it might be as close to governing, especially in the setting described in your second para, as you can get without being in government.

Just laying out my own musings more than anything.
But governing a bunch of rowdy children is....challenging. Ten big rowdy kids, with three smaller ones and the one red head kid (the milkman visited) is constantly whining for money from the others. That is ungovernable.

Looking like more and more irregularities.

It won’t go over well if conservatives are actually involved…

Correct me if I am wrong but the only way one can actually be a conservative/Liberal/NDP ect ect is if they own a membership to that party.

As far as I know. And you can only ever be a part of one party at any one time. At least it is that way for the CPC.

Wow, they truly don’t want the coronation of Carney to even come close to a race.

More liberal shenanigans. This should bump freeland and, maybe, baylis. I wonder which one will get blindsided next. It might appear they seem to be doing everything possible to fix and rig the system for carney.

God, I hope Canadians wake up to what a corrupt, disingenuous and utterly despicable party the LPC really is. Anyone holding a membership should go take a long look in the mirror and question their morals.

So they should just allow any crazy type to run and break the rules?

Do you really believe she was a serious candidate? With only 107 donors (clearly questionable). She was a problem back when she was a MP and she is clearly one now.

The only people upset are all the “new” members that joined with an intent to vote her in lol.

12 people from the same household -all with the last name of Singh- donating using the only (legal) credit card in the house is much more common in large Canadian cities than we might care to imagine.

But … my man Chandra was already booted so AFAIC only substandard candidates were left anyway.

Break the rules, suffer the consequences, how does that make the liberal party corrupt?
