If your RSM gave you a direction, follow it.  You can not get in trouble if you're following your units orders.  Look at it this way, if he told all the pers involved to be in one location, and you're the only one not there, then you've got problems.

I was told by my chief warrant officer
"All of you attending to SQ, will be here (at denison armoury) by 0730 hours on Tuesday!"
I asked him
"I was told to go to Brampton by 0800hrs sir. What am i supposed to do sir?"
"That's wrong! You are supposed to be here, (denison armoury)  I'll tell them that."

In lieu of having any other information, it would be hard to argue with this. 

I'd be at Denison, at 0700 in fact, with the thought that I'd be following the RSM's direction vice the CClk, at least that way you have done what the RSM told you.
