I need your opinion on something

Hey i need your opinion on something. My plan is to apply to infantry regular force when i turn 17 in August but i am in a firefighting cadet program till June 2014. The reasons I'm not waiting till the program is finished is because i know it can take a long time to begin the process or for the process to begin and i wanna join as soon as possible. Do you guys think this would be a good idea? Any reasons why this wouldn't work?

The worst thing that can happen as a result of applying is they say no and you try again later, which is your alternate plan anyway.  If you don't apply,  the chances of being accepted are 0%.

Personally I think they'd see the firefighting training as a positive thing whether you're finished yet or not.  In the interest of doing everything you can to achieve your goal,  might as well apply.
