If you look at the boots photo it has his TV and Tilly hat in it too. The TV has a bayonet in it. So may be it is a serving member selling Queen's Items? Just a thought. Also his helmet is pretty new looking too. Makes me raise an eye brow. What do you guys think? What should we do? Or am I just an eBay nerd?

Nerd is my guess...

I would not say Nerd. You would most likely not be surprised at the amount of "borrowed" goods that show up on Ebay.

Current issue canadian army kevlar helmet

- hard to find, this is used very little

-size small, comes with helmet of course and cadpat cover and scrim

-the helmet like I said is used very little ,I put a new capat cover on and the scrim is new also

-sweat band is like new and straps are very clean

-any questions please ask

- I will not ship to arabic countries so dont ask

hmm

First question?

ppstt hey buddy what unit are you with?  Can you get anymore of that stuff?  I can pick it up, how about some gas station close to your place.

Man we have people who are short kit in operations, training, etc and these f$$kers are selling it?

:brickwall:

Isn't there a way to have the items pulled off the site?

Is there any MP's around here to point us in the right direction?

This has happened before and the supply system thru Clothe the Soldier got the NIS on it.

What wonderfully amazing ethics and morals this soldier displays!!  ::)

The combat boots are good to go, he can sell them if he wants.

The kevlar helmet however is a controlled good (and so is any item that incorporates the official cadpat material of the CF uniform) and  therefore subject to CTAT/ITAR & DPA Regulations.

CTAT: Controlled Technology and Access Transfer:

ITAR (under DPA & CGD):

Yep, good step right to a little vacation in DB Edmonton is my personal recommendation for this idiot.

Is the "pretend" cadpat also controlled? I saw some cadpat pants that looked pretty much like the real thing, on eBay, except there was a disclaimer saying they weren't actually CF pants, but some kind of copy.

Hmmm, if they were...CPGear would be in the hurt locker wouldn't they?   ;D

They must've bribed the government! ...Or signed a licensing thing-thingie...

...Or I can go back to doing research and getting ready for getting shot at by US Army cadets at West Point...

No the pretend stuff is not a controlled good. It does not have the same properties as the "real" stuff does. Fred...CP Gear has a disclaimer advising that their items are not made with the authentic CF cadpat material. CP Gear is good to go!!

Anyway, I've filed the security report with E-bay on the listing below. Suspect that this item will be removed from their site shortly.

Vern

See, I never bought anything off CP Gear.. mostly because the only thing they sell that I know about is cadpat stuff, and that's not really useful for us sea-going types.

Sorry for the stupid question.

He also sold this airborne flag recently,

and this airborne coin.

Could be a buyer and re-seller, it looks like he bought that TV off ebay from "parapatty" around 12 Jan '07.

Maybe he should buy this for OPSEC reasons....

I bought a CADPAT kevlar helmet off this site in brand new condition for $50 2 years ago, its in much better condition than my issued one, as well armyissue used to sell them.
so are you saying that all private kevlar helmets are stolen? or can they be legally surplused

Report CADPAT and other controlled goods to your local MP Det and a file will be initiated.

Also, if you are going to report the seller to E-Bay, it is most helpful if you at least take screen-caps of the eBay page prior to doing so because once the page is pulled by eBay it's much more difficult for us to follow this up.

Rather than start another EBay discussion, I will post in this necro-thread, ( Off topic discussions not relating to the Canadian Army. )
