CAN-USA 2025 Tariff Strife (split from various pol threads)

Looks like they're doing all the things the Torries said they were going to do.

Yup. All that tells me is they are devoid of their own ideas to pacify Canadians and are endorsing PP.

Billboards and commercials saying Carney Endorses Conservatives to Lead Government.
Then list all the things butts and telford have stolen. Everytime they steal a platform point it just shows how weak, insecure and out of touch Carney is.

Liberals doing a U-turn on Bill C-69 that was sacrament just a few months ago.

Me, personally, have little to no faith the liberals will carry through with their promises. There'll excuses and reasons to set them aside, do more research, modify them or just plain ignore them. I don’t trust liberals to tell the truth or do what's right.

The conservatives are no better. Our politicians, all of them, are mealy-mouthed, two-faced, spineless weasels who ultimately fallback onto a shopkeeper-bookkeeper mentality to stay in power.

Hey watch the name calling!!! Weasels are an important part of nature - they keep vermin in check. Please don't insult weasels.

Did a Costco run today- close to $200 worth of discretionary purchases not made due to US origin or distributors. All stuff I would have liked to grab but can do without easily enough.

It’s a trickle for now, but stories are starting to be told about companies in the U.S. feeling the pinch. Come April 2nd, if Trump doesn’t flinch from his plan, he’s gonna inflict a lot more self-harm on his country.

All the American politicians who blame other nations for America's issue need to look in a mirror. THAT is what the problem with the USA is.

So that was what, passing on a box of granola bars ?

I am glad I don't do the grocery shopping. I have fits just buying ammo and lumber.

Also stories saying Canadian made products are seeing a bump in revenue.

I’m all for it.
