Application Process Samples [ 2019-present]

Apparently, according to my recruiter, the longer you stay in Canada the faster the process is going to take. Best of luck. I am in the process also and I stayed in the US for about five years prior.
that is great for you actually. the only western country I stayed for long term is UK, I stayed there for only one year.

I got the news this afternoon, I could not be more stoked! However, I do have a point on the offer letter that I do not understand and would be grateful if someone could clarify it for me in simple language:

"You understand that you will be required to declare that you have a principal residence, as defined at the Compensation Benefit Instruction 208.997(2), and as such, if you move your dependants, household goods and effects ([D) HG&E]) at your own expenses away from the place in which your D HG&E were located on the date of your enrolment, you would cease your entitlement to separation expense."

You currently have a residence and dependants and will be separated from them, and get an allowance to pay for the costs of 'living' in two places. If you move them on your own dime, you will cease to be paid separation expense. You are expected to be separated from family while on basic training, and most trade training. At some point you will told you can move HG&E and family. At that point your SE will end, but your peeps and stuff will be with you.

Hi,

It took 8 month to get your security clearance ? It was level 2 or 3 ?

You mind if i ask you what's your country of origin and since when you live in Canada ? i'm in the PR process too, completed every steps, only the security clearance missing actually.

Also a quick question for the vets on here... what happens after BMOQ? Do you get a few days to go home with your family, are you immediately posted to your assigned platoon somewhere in the country? What is generally the case?

This is incredibly fast for a pre-clearance? Is this the new norm now?
The longer you've lived in Canada, the faster the clearance is. If you've been here for 5+ years with nothing other than vacations out of the country, it will move faster than someone with significant time living abroad or newly arrived.
