Air Force Electronic MOCs

Is there anyone here in the Air Force or knowledgable in their MOCs?

I have the opportunity to pursue a MOC as an AVS tech (avionics) or an ATIS tech (Communications). I have civilian eduation and experience but not directly related to aircraft. Also, I‘v seen the MOC videos and spoke to a recruiter.

If a recruit was given the choice of MOCs, which one is the better choice or what is the pros and cons of the MOCs that may not be described in the videos?

Ask if an AVS tech gets spec pay. I know an ATIS tech does. (Spec pay only applies once you reach the rank of corporal though.)

Other than that, if you go ATIS tech you have more posting options because your trade is not specific to aircraft. I know a few ATIS Techs posted to Land Units. They usually deal with computers and networking or with satellite communications.
