I leave in 6 days and am still completely clueless as to how BMQ is going to work. My parents want to drvie me but don't know where it is. They want to pick me up on weekends off, assuming there are any, yet don't know if they exist or how frequent they are.

Should I call and ask or should I just wait for them to call me. I've been meaning to call for the the last week now but things kept coming up and I forgot  :-\.

If the army is sending you somewhere, they will pay to fly you there. If you've get lucky enough to get a weekend off, you're going to want to spend it with the buddies you'll make on the course, you won't want to be going home with mommy and daddy. Trust me on this one.

LOL no no my parents are picking me up, they know full well i will be spending the entire weekend with the gf.

I am assuming you are ResF.

If that is the case, you should call your unit to get all the details -- call either the unit recruiter or the Ops & Training cell. At worst, call the BOR and get an answer from the clerk.

If you haven't already, you'll need to pick up your route letter from the BOR -- this is an administrative package that will ensure you get paid. You need to take this with you when you go on course. The BOR can give you all the info on how/when you are getting to course.

LOL no no

I always thought the idea behind  BMQ was to get us away from our gf's or wives?  ;)

Anyways, your mom or dad wont have to drive you there, the army will either bus you there or fly you there depending upon where your going. Besides it's probably best not to get all the hugs and kisses from mommy and daddy around those of which may be bunking with you.  ;D
