AC OP Pay

I saw a link to spec pay trades a while back but am having trouble locating it. Does AC OP qualify for this?

Not that it really matters to me, I got merit listed and am looking forward to starting my career in the near future. Perhaps when the April budget comes?

The only AC Ops who get spec pay are those employed as PAR controllers.

Employed is not quite the right word. It's a bit more complicated than that due to the two sub occupations. One sub occupation gets the spec pay the other does not, but you don't have to be PAR controlling per se to get the pay. In effect you have to be a qualified Radar Controller. It might sound like semantics but the difference has materially affected the whole trade for some time and not in a good way.

It is not. You are quite correct. I should have been more clear, considering i was having that discussion with some of the local AC Ops the day before i posted that.
