A Deeply Fractured US

From the article:

  1. I guess they publicized how they connected the username to him
  2. Who the F posts their full name on a porn site, plus a real email address?
  3. Beyond that, who the F comments on a porn site?!
I’ve seen a few of the comments he posted. “Gratuitously sexual and lewd in nature” is an undersell. This dude’s a sexual nutcase.

He's doing well, I see.

No they don’t. He can’t use them for collateral or like for 6 months, as stipulated by the new board.

It’s going to be something else once the share price reverts to a realistic price to earnings ratio. It’s a meme stock tied to a weak and one-trick social media company with revenue roughly one tenth of its expenses. Anyone who’s in this as an actual investor, rather than to funnel cash, is going to get absolutely soaked. A social media site with five million users is not a company with multi billion dollar value.

Thought it might be fun to check back in now that 180 days have passed and Trump’s Truth Social stock is out of the lockup period:

That’s an 84% drop from the brief peak it hit following the IPO. Insider sale filings will be available from SEC within a few days.

Gives us a good sense of how those with real skin in the game value Trump’s social media enterprise.

Sorta puts his pledge to run the country like his business in a new light…

Absolutely stark ownership breakdown, only 10% institutional involvement, 34% retail investors marks.

But... on paper that's a lot of wealth created out of thin air. Paper wealth has lots of uses. Especially in the hands of a man without consideration for ethics or laws.

I’d be curious to know what institutions are in for a quarter bil of such a garbage stock (and likely a lot more when they opened their positions). They’ve lost their investors a lot of money. There’s really never been any compelling and sound investment reason for an institution to take a stake in $DJT if you look at the actual fundamentals.

Unless they are off-shore entities.

Vanguard is the single largest (by a lot), but then after that a lot of the big players (ishares, Fidelity, etc) have some small exposure. Peanuts for them, and really have shown no appetite to expand. They certainly know and understand the lack of sound investment thesis. I'd guess it made its way onto some sector/risk on etf's

You’re right- I just looked that up and individual funds are named; vast majority is index funds that will simply own some of everything in a given index to try to track its performance. Given that it’s listed on the NASDAQ, that checks out. Telling that there’s negligible institutional ownership from strategic growth or earnings focused funds.

It seems that this was just the latest in a decline for Robinson. He’s been trailing since June in NC, and really dropped off a cliff after Biden stepped aside.
The Republican Governor’s Association, and the Governor of Georgia, have now pulled their support for him.

IMHO, If Harris is elected, others will be the operator/decision makers. She will just sign the document with a flourish with cameras clicking.

Trump will be a problem if elected.

I don't think any voter should be ok with the highlighted.

Trump will only be a problem for the corrupt establishment.

What are you even talking about, Trump is a corrupt establishment on his own; he just wants his piece of the pie, and does not give one single iota of a f*ck for the general citizenry, past their initial votes (if he can't get things gerrymandered and rigged enough where it matters less).

He had 4 years, and didn't drain the swamp, he just diverted it into his own trough.

Your ability to make an analysis is lacking. If you had paid any attention at all to Trump's public statements over decades, you ought to put together that he is doing this because he believes the country is going in the wrong direction. He very easily could have stayed out of politics and remained popular, wealthy, and living the good life. Whether you agree with him or not, his intentions are clear.

You ought also understand why he didn't (couldn't) drain the swamp the first time. If you had paid any attention to reality over the last many years.

Guy bankrupted a casino, doesn't pay his contractors, and and is generally a shitty person (see multiple wives he's cheated on). He's a narcissist that only cares about himself. That was all public record and very obvious before he even talked about politics.

Reframe it however you like, but if he hadn't started out as a billionaire via inheritance, he'd be hucking dodgy used cars. If you think he's doing this out of selfless love for the country you are delusional. Guy loves himself, and loves power, which is why he loves the brutal dictators. Nothing less American than praise for Putin, Kim Jong Un or Xi, but your POTUS candidate did all that while in office. Give your head a shake.

His intentions are mostly self directed.

And yet he said he would and could and didn’t. So a fail? A lie? Or just telling people what they want up hear. Or maybe he just couldn’t do it. Not as advertised.

He made a bigger swamp and added more creatures to it.

This is pure gold! Tell me more!

And I also want to hear how Biden/Harris/Walz/ hell even the Clintons are pure as the driven snow and a better option!

Trump would win a legit election by a large margin (though the MoC will always be in play).

Plenty to back read. Go for it.

No you don’t.

Sure. He is just as likely to lose a legit election just like last time. And most other losses since then. Very close this time.

I can accept that he could win. You can’t accept that he can lose.

You’ll be ok though win or lose.

He lost the last one. cue complaining about it not being legit even though nobody has been able to prove otherwise Even with the election he did win he still lost the popular vote.

Remius show us all on your MPRR where you have the advanced mind reading qualification.

As to who will be ok or not, win or lose, we are all likely to be less ok with either a Trudeau and/or Harris win.

I surmise Trump's chances are greater then what is being offered in the MSM. One metric I base this on is the RCP Direction of Country poll over time. Here you can see that, on average, during Trumps reign of terror, more people felt things were going in right direction and less in wrong direction comparative to prior and current administrations.
