2025 Federal Election - 28 Apr 25

You mean the NDA that muzzles his criticism? The continued use of "security clearance" by people who should know what a read-in NDA for a special program is really just cheap partisan shots instead of fact based criticism. If there was actual evidence of candidates being influenced, he'd be read in for specific issues relevant to his party, which could be the case here.

I'd rather he continue to vet, find and remove candidates. It's better than ignoring the problem for 5 days and refusing to disclose conflicts of interests. Really shows the contrast between decisive action to counter foreign influence and waffling to court an ethnic vote.
That’s the thing. He can’t get read in because he refuses the security clearance. His CoS gets the info, but he’s not allowed to tell his boss.

If he gets a clearance, nothing says he can’t criticize the government. He just can’t spill specific classified info he’s been briefed on. Instead, he looks like a fool when he gets blindsided by shenanigans in his own party.

Performative bullshit for short-term political gain (though I question it’s gain at this point) at the expense of national security tells me all of the leaders don’t give a shit about this country.

See, it's not the thing. He's refusing to be read into a compartmented program so he doesn't have to be bound by official secrets act. That's not the same as not having a security clearance. He could have TSSA lmnopq caveats but still require the NDA for compartmented information that is likely contained in the NCIOP report. CSIS has already stated they can limited read in for direct threats.

That NDA is a muzzle for his criticism of the government and is also especially evident now that his party is the one taking decisive action removing bad actors and LPC waffles and damage controlled one away to save a suspect voting bloc. Potentially CSIS has quietly informed CPC of threats and he took action. We likely wpnt, and shouldnt, ever know that took place.

The performative bullshit is the focus on disinformation soundbites about "security clearances" which makes it sound like he's not even ERC cleared even though as a former cabinet minister he's held at least TS for multiple years in the past. Let's not let reality get in the way of a good partisan jab though, right?

No you dismissed it out right as not important

“I wonder what crisis Carney is going to use to fearmonger voters with now. He can't use the spectre of thousands of lost jobs, now that tariffs aren't the issue they were 24 hrs ago.”

This was your post from post #1015

You insinuated he was and now cannot fear monger.

Perhaps you missed it in your haste and bias and you decided to apply different standards and expectations.

Tariffs are still a real issue FB. You don’t have to believe it but they are. PP it seems is still also on the tariff issue as he should be.

🥱

Danielle Smith: Liberal Operative…
Why should she worry about those less-than-completely-zealous “out East/GTA” conservatives, right? ;)

Feeling a bit like the old Reform-ish wing is wrestling with the closer-to-the-centre Blues.

Civil war will ensue…
On a party level, if you believe the Blues quotedl in various media lately, the radicalization leading towards that lmay already be under way in Team Blue.

On a national level, I’m not that pessimistic - but a lot’s happened lately that wasn’t on my bingo card, too, so fingers remain crossed.

Oh I meant from a party perspective.

Not sure where you’re getting that from, but there has been no reporting on that by anyone anywhere. If what you say is true, their comms section is worse than useless.

Hell of a statement.

He further emphasized the importance of Canada's individual growth through expanding trade elsewhere, building the economy, and protecting their sovereignty. Carney contended that Canada is ready to bear a leadership role in the world, saying, "If the United States does not want to lead, Canada will."

To conclude, the campaigning Prime Minister implored Canadians to "draw strength" from each other, calling for economic unification across the 13 Canadian provinces.

The 2025 version of "Canada is Back", brought to you by the same part that did not in fact bring Canada back... But he has nice suits, and was an international banker don't ya know.

I yelled at JT the idiot prince when he said that.

And I quote "Canada never fucking left"

And yes I concur - generally the people that run your prized muscle car to death won't fix the car. Kinda like what JT and the thieves did.
