This was posted on our site by one of our own, email nickname highlandrsm for one of our own lost brothers - just thought I'd share it with all of you.
He became a man in Afghanastan,
A young boy he did leave,
His life was short and taken away,
A terrorists mission did succeed.
They sent him home in a flag draped box,
By his comrades with tears in their eyes,
His family stood and watched him arrive,
His death saved so many lives.
Full military honours he was given,
Thousands showed to pay their respects,
He left this world a better place,
And that we will never forget.
His friends said many great things,
About his dedication twenty four seven,
He did his best and served so well,
And rests with God in Heaven.
They honour him where he trained and played,
Plaques adorn the walls to see,
I'll never forget this great soldier,
He is a Hero to me.
So stand to attention,
Raise your arm and salute,
From the Commanding Officer,
Down to the newest recruit.
There is only one man I am talking about,
And I am very proud to have known him,
We all know who that one man is,
Corporal Jason Patrick Warren.
May God hold you in his arms my brother until we meet again.
