Note to self: no push-ups while wearing jeans with a belt at random places. ::) FML
I am having lower abdominal pain (localized) only when I am doing push-ups/planks and crunhes!! I feel no pain while walking; there is no pain when I apply pressure... Anyone have a similar experience? And...
haha.. I realize this is not an online diary! :P
But just last week I started training on my own and I have been pretty much in pain. :crybaby: I've spent an hour and a half everyday doing a mix of weights and cardio.
It appears I can't afford a personal trainer (45$ per hour) or bootcamp...
hhahaha... thanks! that is exactly what I am doing right now-or at least trying!! I try and wait till there are less people around!! But, It's still painful---
1.5 miles in 9 minutes!! (wow, I wish I could do that; I am more like 1 mile in 9 mins)
Thanks, that is probably the best advice.
Owa, thanks your post is much appreciated. I am similar in a way. I hate doing weights--I get bored and opt for cardio most of the time!! Then I push myself to do the pushups!!
I have finals all this week and next and after that only training!!
@ CDN Aviator lol, thanks. And, yes it is hard working people such as yourself that put me to shame. I am hoping bootcamp/ BMQ (once I am in) can change my “whining/ complaining” behaviour.
@ Armychick: yes, if it isn’t clear from my posts; I am a female. Thanks for the detailed overview; it’s...
Hi all, thanks. I've tried addressing each of you with a separate comment---to spare you boredom. :)
@ Bubbs25: Thanks Bubbs25, yes that helped. I couldn’t have imagined the process being any different; the fault was all mine.
@Ex-Dragon: Yes, I feel so. The problem is finding the right...
I had my application started for the reserves here in Edmonton; everything was great/complete until my fitness (push-ups) test. I had a fitness test scheduled but I didn't want to fail in the push-ups so I asked to post-pone it. With school/ work I put off my exercise regime for too long...
Thanks all!!
@ Frostnipped Elf the fatigue threshold technique is what I am trying (although very poorly) right now! Also, conditioning to breath properly is something I really need to work on because I’ve noticed that I hold my breath while attempting to do push ups!
@Breezie..Thanks I guess...
I have a question for all you girls; How the heck did you train for doing consecutive push ups and how long did you train for?? I am having the hardest time trying to do NINE push ups!! I have my physical this friday, I can do a 3 mile run no problem, and the sit ups are also not a problem but I...
VM, You caught me!! What can I say, I just couldn't control my relief and excitedness! ;D
Anyways, one thing I noticed about the CFAT, is that it has a lot of pattern recognition/ sequence identification type questions! (Hope that helps)
^^^ Don't worry!! Just remember not to spend too much time on one question.
Don't want to hi-jack the topic but I am done my medical and my interview, and both went very smoothly and now the physical strength test!!! Friday May 24, 2008.
I just wrote my CFAT! I must say it wasn't too too bad! I under-estimated the vocabulary part, for most of the questions I was like huh??
The rest of the questions (math, spatial reasoning, logic) are doable, but you are pressed for time. I found the only part were I ran out of time was during...
