Hey Folks,
A Sig Buddy of mine just got tasked to Yellowknife to help with a 3 week exercise in Yellowknife. It said he would be a CTR OP. The problem is no one here at the unit from the top down has any idea what a CTR OP is/does. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Hey Folks,
Thanks a bunch for the replies. Just got confirmation that my original BPSO has a shadow file! Not sure why this wasn't brought up a month ago when this mess all started but anyways they have sent the shadow file to DMCA, so now it is a waiting game. Thanks again for your help, will...
MJP,
Yeah resubmitting the forms has come up as an option with my CoC, however, now that I have completed my 3's it would no longer be a VOR but a VOT. Another thing is that my new CoC may not approve. So what ideally needs to happen is the orignal docs need to be found and compiled in order to...
Ha, I wish it was just that. No, It was a Voluntary Occupation Reassignment. THey told me it couldn't be filed as a VOT due to the fact that I wasn't 3's qualified.

Good Day All,
So here is the situation, Before completing my 3's I completed a VOR application. It was approved by my COC, the BPSO, OC & CO. When the offers started coming out end Feb-Mar 09, I started to inquire about my application.
Was first told by DMCA that they had nothing on file for...
Just found out my posting off my SigOp QL3's will be 764 Comm Sqn in Ottawa. Any info on what kind of stuff i'll be into? Typical day? Type of Work? Thanks.

How's It Goin'? See ya there buddy!
Hey Garett,
So I take it under this new system, after BMQ(with the new included 3 weeks of SQ), i'll be going straight on to my MOC training in Kingston?
Clarkey
Hey Garett,
SQ Phased out huh? This is really disappointing, I was really looking forward to this course. What things will I as a signal operator miss out on now with this new format? Any ideas?

Alot of different points of view on this, and to be honest my view has swung towards mud's point of view. I never realised that recruits being sent home were posted in a PAT platoon for around 3 months before shipped off. If that's the case, PT the buggers for 3 months not much point of them...
Thanks for the well wishes Mud! I never looked at it from that point of view...nice analogy with the weakest link statement ;) . I can imagine like you say that if one lets themselves go that much between the entrance test and the expres that they would catch more then their share of flak in...
Hey All,
Just finished my swearing in this past Thursday, We were informed that upon arriving at St. Jean there will be a PT test within the first couple of days. Much along the same lines as the pre-recruitment test. We were also informed that if we fail this test unlike before instead of...
Quite a satirical look at this situation.
This guy cracks me up everytime.

Hey George,
Thanks for clarifying, and I understand where your coming from now. I guess it only takes one bad apple to spoil the whole bunch. And I am sure if my past experiences with people serve me correct there are those "holier than thou" types in every situation. A real shame if you ask...
