No MS and Below cloth naval cap badges available?

I was at the CANEX at CFB Esquimalt to get a cap badge.  But even CANEX was out of the cloth ones, luckily this was for my peak cap so I just bought the more expensive one.

    Intelligence branch..

I've looked into a lot of topics on Army.ca, as well as the recruiting website and several intelligence websites.  I'm wondering though the difference...if any, between those that do Army intel and those that do Navy intel.  Obviously postings are different, Naval I'm sure would be working...

    HMCS Huron To Be Sunk

You're correct, her sister ship sank the Huron.  I have a bunch of pictures on a CD which I still haven't looked at yet.  To sum it all up, after a numerous amount of volleys from the Canadian and American ships that took part in the exercise, that included the 76mm, 57mm, and 50 cal and CIWS...

When does the next QL3 Marine Electrican Course start?

Usually around the end of his basic they're told when their QL3 will start...granted most of those dates are 'tentative'

Re: Navy ties up its fleet

Algonquin isn't in refit right now...they haven't decided if we're going into refit or if we're going to have a long work period.  Whatever they decide it's going to start in 08.

    NES op QL3 ?

Since I'm doing my NESOP QL3, I'll answer your question.  There are two running courses right now, one that will finish in august and another that will finish in september.  The next course will be in September, but I believe it's already full with 12 students.  Other than the new course...

Picture frames @ BMQ (yes, enough for a merged topic)

I think it's optional to bring a picture/picture frame with you.  You don't need to bring one if you don't want to.

    Quitting after training?

I would have thought that you couldn't quit without some kind of repercussion for signing a 3, 4 or 5 year contract?

    Ok, time for questions

I have a question. Now I've looked this up on the forums but I found it sort of vague.   It has to deal with civilian clothes.   From what I can tell you wear civilian clothes up to basic, and you wear civilian clothes the first week, during all administrative work.   And then there will be...

    naval communicator jobs

You should start with going to this link, look under Regular NCM and then Naval Communicator.  It gives you a lot of information about that trade. http://www.recruiting.forces.ca/engraph/navy/jobs_e.aspx As for personal experiances about that trade, I can't help you with that.

Enhanced Reliability Check (ERC) - Merged

Sorry I have a few questions: Would corrections on the form add a delay?   Would white out be looked upon as suspicious? I will be attending the Naval Electronic Sensor Operator Qualification 3 course...since it says 'Qualification 3 course' does that mean that this is one of the trades that...

    Sea Time

I searched around to see if I could find the answer to my question.  But to no luck.  I'm wondering is there a way in finding out the readiness levels of Canada's ships?  Or is that information which can't be posted on the internet?

Pushups- Try Reading Here First- Merged Thread

I have a question about pushups.  During the physical test you perform tricep pushups.  During BMQ I believe you do two physical tests one at the beginning and one at the end, will they be tricep pushups?  And will tricep pushups be performed throughout the 10 weeks of training.  Or do you...

Those selected for BMQ: 26th Sept to 9th Dec in Borden

To those that are going let's give a little information about ourselves.  Just so that it'll make things a little easier when we see each other in Borden. Mark Pyza from Oakville Ontario.  You pronounce my last name Pie-za basically.  20 years old.  Going into NESOP.  I'm pretty excited that...

Those selected for BMQ: 26th Sept to 9th Dec in Borden

A couple Leafs games would be nice.  I'd prefer a few Blue Jays games.   They are only 4 games away from the wildcard.   I think they can make the playoffs. But of course training first!  Didn't exactly wait 8 months for nothing   ;D
