Hi RMCStudent, If you were not a part of Romanian defense forces....  It should be OK with you....  keep calling them every month and ask about status of your file.... Immigrants also pay taxes so they also have right to join Govt. jobs....  have patience....  your education is good.... ...

Hi Paramedic....  If you really want to join force  :warstory:.... keep US forces an option too....  they are hiring aggressively and they recruitment process is fast and if you are involved with active duty they will give you US citizenship too.... :soldier:

I do not want to discourage you but CF Security Clearance takes too much time if you did not stay last 10 years in Canada (even if you are a Canadian citizen), that sometime you think it is not worth it. One hand they discourage qualified applicants because of their background, on the other hand...

When did you all apllied for these positions. I applied in March 2004. CFAT,Medical, interview is done but Police Clearance is pending. It will take one year (may be more) as I was born not born in Canada. It sux...  :crybaby:

Hi guys, This question is for all those people who applied for DEO in Engineering related or similar trade. Did you go through Enhanced Security Check???? I applied for DEO CELE and they told me that they will send my application for Enhanced Security Check and it may take over one year...

All these recent posts are disappointing, CF are not hiring aggressively....I hope Conservatives will win boost defense spending.
