    DND 404 - Driver's Licence ( merged )

No SigOp QL3's for him. If he doesn't have his 404's he won't be going on course. They will probably force him to remuster.

Pte. Mark Anthony Graham 1 RCR - 04 Sept 06

RIP Mark.  :cdn: Although I didn't know Mark personally, I had just finished SQ with his brother Dan as my roommate. He always spoke proudly of his brother. Condolences to Dan and the rest of his family.

    PRETC thread (merged)

What can they possibly organize when they can barely get weekend leave passes back for everyone. It's a definite staffing problem and I don't see it getting much better unless they can get some more nco's in there to help.  But at the same time, I don't see why they dont get the 100 or so troops...

BMQ on Aug. 7 in St. Jean?

2 platoons will be starting with you, An english one and a french one. Usually around 50 people per but sometimes it gets up near 60. You will probably lose a bunch in the first 2 weeks to people that VR (voluntary release) the ones that don't wanna deal with the bullsh*t or can't take being...

    Farnham BMQ pictures

That camp was all for the last week, the 2nd week is still at the Biv sites, the nights are still filled with little to no sleep due to century, fire drills and stand to's. I just got use to the sound of an arty-sim as my alarm clock every morning. Hear whistle then a big bang and you know its...

BMQ on Aug. 7 in St. Jean?

Good job on getting accepted. St Jean is a nice little place the Mega (cflrs) is huge, you guys will more than likely be posted to the green sector and on a nice floor with tons of stairs to climb (wait till you climb them with your ruck and duffle bag after returning from farnham ;)) finding...

    Signal Operator Course?

Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't even for a second hesitate to get out of PRETC and actually get on course sooner, and I do use the opportunity of more free time to get into the gym and run more. There is alot of people there that avoid PT like the plague, almost half the Coy is on light duties...

    Inquiry about the shuttle run

Doesn't sound like you have much to worry about, I wouldnt stress over it. Train as much as you can before you go, instead of aiming for a pass aim for the exempt level... depending on your age (Mine was level 10.5 im 21 .. i think it was like 19-22 or something similiar) then from there you...

    Inquiry about the shuttle run

Ok, not too argue with people who I know have more experience and knowledge than me. But during BMQ a failure on the shuttle run is a release now, they stressed this to us, and more than that we lost someone to this for not being able to complete level 6. This could be very different for the...

    Inquiry about the shuttle run

Correct a failure on the express does not equal a release, a failure on the SHUTTLE RUN itself does equal a release. this is a fact. IF you do not reach the level 6 required (don't stress, its not hard to get) you will be released, I had someone fail my BMQ because of this. (march ,2006) it is...

    question

As for an Edmonton posting im not sure, they basically send you where your needed. Plan on spending the next year or so (when you get in) in a few different places. More than likely St-Jean Quebec for 11 weeks for basic (13wk course is starting soon I believe) then you will goto Borden attatched...

    Inquiry about the shuttle run

You must pass the shuttle run or you are released. You do not have to get 9.5 to pass. You must reach level 6, which is easy even for someone who doesnt run much. If you can do your 2.4k without stopping in a reasonable time (12 mins or less) dont worry about getting level 6.  Depending on your...
