Disagree. Almost all militarily earmarked money "given to Ukraine" was actually spent by the US in the US to rebuild stocks and replace all the dating out stuff that was sent. Employing US workers, and returning tax dollars back to the US treasury.
The US and even NATO officially can create whatever deals they want. Russia will break them and Ukraine will never agree to them without real (enforceable) security guarantees and will keep fighting alone if needs must which will keep Russia fighting until it can't.

Article 5 is not the panacea you think it is - it is actually pretty weak (as I have pointed out before) as it relies on each country deciding what it feels is an appropriate contribution to the NATO response. Anything from thoughts and prayers plus sanctions to saturating the enemy airspace...
And don't forget Putin has already said the sale of Alaska was wrong/is invalid and that Russia will take back all of it's 'traditional' lands". Close enough to operate drones over Alaska, or launch glide bombs, all without entering the ADIZ or American ('Russian far eastern') airspace.
