2025 Federal Election - 28 Apr 25

The way I see it this election is a vote for either the devil you know, LPC, or the devil you don't, CPC.

I can't turn my back on firearms owners or forgive and forget the last ten years so fast, but the sheen has also really come off PP and I'm not sure the current landscape is one he is capable of operating in.

I once again feel adrift on the Canadian political ocean.
I’m right there with you on this.

I will be in the morning. Quarter tank left. You're right though. Focus on the things I can actually control.
Same boat in our house. Come midnight my wife and I are agreeing to stay away from following political news too closely, and doing our best to avoid stress over the tariffs. Gradually stocking up on fuel and food, trying to stay focused on smaller things that impact us.

Join the politically homeless club, dude. 🫤

Do what I did the last couple elections and just vote Green. It's a wasted vote, effectively, but you get the positive of feeling like you voted "for a healthier planet".

Army green? They also get about $1.25 per vote from the gov't I think so you also paid a small coffee to the party.

I used to say I was voting for the party that I agreed with most. But now I feel I have real antipathy towards all parties, including the Greens. I’m afraid if I open my door to any candidate, I’m going open up with both barrels.

You're quoting Press Progress, basically as far left as you can get without being Antifa. Rachel Gilmore is a far left reporter that didn't bother hiding her bias and has been let go by 2 media outlets. CTVNews hiring her to "fact check", which is such a loaded term I have no idea why mainstream media even bother trying to use it anymore, was a terrible idea from the start.

So then fact check any fact checks that could be perceived as a lie? This is not how the CPC or really any party in Canada should be acting when people start questioning things.

Is this a more agreeable publication for you?

I fail to see this as a bad thing. 8 members of my family I can say were fairly anti-fascist and all were very right leaning.

Antifa is a domestic terror group. Being "anti-fascist" is as useless as changing your Facebook profile picture. I'd wager 99.99% of Canadians are anti-fascist. The ones that tell people they are are attention seaking activists trying to create a Nazi strawman waiting just around the corner for the 2nd coming of Hitler.

Draw your own conclusions, but when I hear a liberal saying 'emergency powers' I get a tad skittish.
