Thanks for the info.
Before you posted that's exactly what the Sgt at the Base Clinic explained to me. He's been very helpful and promised to keep it at with his captain. After a year of waiting and sometimes bad news it was nice to see so understandng and support on their behalf.
I've been on a Class B for over 10 years. After 18 years in the infantry and 1 years as a Clk I put in for a CT in February 2013. My Med Cat was G3 where I needed G2 to be a Tfc Tech.
In November I asked for a change of Med Cat and got it signed off by my doctor. He noticed that I should never...
No news other than there is no Tfc Tech positions this fiscal year. I'm hoping there's another board in the Fall and all that changes.
Still anxiously awaiting an offer.
So Infantry, Supply Tech and RMS did nothing for you?
I thought of Supply Tech then remembered the disgruntled ones at Base Clothing. I thought of Truckers until I deployed with them and then chose Tfc Tech after working with them in Longue-Pointe.
I email D Mil C7 every few weeks just to make sure my file is still active and up to date.
I've been told that there is no Tfc Tech positions this fiscal year. Does that mean i should get an offer towards the end of this fiscal yer?
How accurate is that? I mean, I've been told by some that...
I've worked in Recruiting before and if I may make a few suggestions :
Do some soul searching. Find something you enjoy. Research every aspect of the trade you are interested in and don't settle on the first Recruiting pitch you hear. For example, Infantry is an easy sell but if you have an...
From what my CC told me is all I have to do is wait. My medical, my fitness (BFT) and MPRR are all up to date. I've done the CFAT last year when I changed trade and apparently don't need an interview. I just need to wait for Tfc Tech positions to open. D Mil C says they're only looking at those...
Good to know. Thanks for the advice.
I'm leaving on my leadership course while waiting for my CT. I'll ask my CC to keep an eye open for me. With my luck, I'll find out the last week of the course that my CT went through and I didn't need to do the course.
Cheers.
I blame my infantry course of 1995 for me speed eating through meals and often spilling on myself. Often we'd have less than 10 minutes to eat and we were the second platoon in line. We'd often skip the lineup and go straight for the bread and fruits table.
Good to know there is some hope.
I asked for a CT a few weeks as a traffic tech, a trade that is in demand. The next 3s course is end of October to December. Any chance I could be on it in the next 6 months?
