Volunteering with a Reserve Unit

Hi everyone 

I'm sorry if there is already a topic about this; I did a search and couldn't find anything.

Next year I'm going to RMC, but at the moment I am a sig op in the Reserves. I really love my Reserve unit, and I'm finding it hard to leave everyone. I was wondering if it would be possible for me to volunteer with my Reserve unit next year on the weekends that I'm free; does anyone know the official policies on volunteering with a Reserve unit?

Your dedication is admirable, but I suspect year 1 at RMC wil have sufficient activity to fill your time.

Staff at RMC will be able to let you know what is in the art of the possible.

I don't personally know anyone who volunteers with a reserve unit but I have heard that it is possible. The reserve unit and your Squadron Commander (or perhaps higher) would have to agree to it, of course.

Personally, I would forget about it in first year. Especially if your in engineering.
