Does anyone know if civilian RNs that work at hospital on base are required to get/have a security clearance?

So if through the Calian contract, they will have to meet the terms of the contract. I do not have a copy here. I suspect but am not certain that there may be variable clearances depending on where the individual works (so, for example, a nurse hired to support CANSOF units might need higher clearance than a nurse doing STI treatment at the clinic in Petawawa).

Security clearances for contracts are done through PSPC.

Hello, I’m wondering if anyone knows if there are still spots for DEO nursing officers in this fiscal year? I’ve been on the competition list since the end of May and am crossing my fingers and toes that there are still spots and I’ll be lucky enough to get one. I’ve been having a hard time getting in touch with my recruiting centre. Any info would be greatly appreciated!

I have moved positions; however when I was in Medical Recruiting only specialist nurses were given offers between April and September (i.e. Critical Care, Perioperative, Mental Health)... the General Duty Nursing Officers got offers starting in September. With that said if you send me a message with which province you live in I can give you the contact details for the specialist recruiter for your region and they can assist you with information.

Hi everyone,

I'm a trauma nurse considering both the Regular Force and Reserves. Ultimately, I'm interested in becoming a CCNO and potentially participating in CMERT and HRD.

I've spoken with Regular Force medical recruitment and have a good understanding of the path if I go that route. However, I'm struggling to find clear information about becoming a CCNO specifically as a Reservist. Is this a possible path, and can Reservists participate in CMERT?

I've spoken with some Reserve nurses, and my local recruitment but received conflicting information. Any insight or advice would be greatly appreciated. Even if you can't answer directly, tips on better forum searches would be helpful!

Thanks in advance!

Where are you located?

Have you talked to the Recruiters for 35 Field Ambulance?
I have been in and talked to the recruiter at the barracks and they didnt work a medical trade. I guess I didn't realize the Field Ambulance would have it's own recruitment within the barracks but it makes perfect sense. Seems I have a next step.

Still open to any experiences anyone may have in relation to either line.

Thanks!
