I am looking for opinions/reviews of tattoo parlours in and around Calgary. I have done some searching on the net, but can't seem to find any unbiased sites.
Checklist:
- cleanliness paramount,
- new needles each time,
- doesn't service under 18 or drunks,
- artist is sober,
- art looks god to you (see his past work) and talk to current holders of his work,
- takes the time to talk to you about your expectations.
- hygienie!!!!
These are the very basics, follow them and you should be ok.
Lastly- after the tattoo- gently wash with soap and water a couple of times a day, LOTS and LOTS of bacugen (or similiar). There are newer (and maybe better) after tat treatments, but this has worked very well for me.
Garry is bang on the issue. Just ask folks around Calgary. Most people are able to show off and chat about their tattoos. Make sure it is something good too... not something you"ll regret afterwards.
