Should I self-declare for EE ? Honestly does this help my application?

I am a female and visible minority applying for combat arms officer. During the application, I was not sure if I should self declare for members of Employment Equity. Honestly, is it better to declare or not? Does this affect my chances of getting accepted?

Sorry if this question was asked before, but the most recent post about it was 2001, not sure if things have been changed.

thank you for your interest in the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF).

At this time declaring as member of "Employment Equity" will not hurt your application. It is more for statistics.
